Hey All!
It feels like such a long time since I have seen most of you!Six weeks turned into three months, which turned into five months. It was a saga. For those of you who don’t know, here’s the gist: As we were about to close the deal on our new space, the owner of the property nearly died from Stage IV cancer and was given mere weeks to live. Amazingly, he pulled through, and managed to make up for some lost time by expediting the construction and renovation. But now the wait is finally over…
The Training Station is having an open house at its new and improved location on July 20th!
On that date, the new state-of-the-art equipment will be installed and ready to go, though the construction will be about 80% complete. The builder will be finishing up and, while initially we were going to let everyone workout during this last phase of construction, our insurance company kind of didn’t love that idea. In fact, they hated it. But we still want to show off the place! So, for the first week or two we are going to be open for partial-days for an open house with the remainder of each day being set aside for the completion of the construction. We’ll have some family friendly beverages and snacks. Feel free to come by and check the place out. It’ll be BYOHH (bring your own hard-hat).
In all seriousness, I’m sure some of you are getting a bit impatient – and believe me, I am too. In fact, I’m just as impatient as you but, as my kids would says, “times a million.” But we’re remaining positive. I mean, we’re close here. I’ll be able to answer questions about the delay a bit more directly once we open – a mere few weeks away. But, trust me — the place is awesome. That’s why I really want you guys to stop by before you can workout. Some of this stuff is out of this world.
Also, Run Shoe Store is back with a vengeance! It has a dedicated area (like a real live store!). The display wall is 200 square feet of the best technical running shoes, weightlifting shoes, and training shoes, as well as Thorlos socks and Under Armour Apparel.

And, of course, I’ll be there, giving you the same advice that I’ve given to elite athletes. We’re setting the standard for urban health clubs a bit higher in Philadelphia. There is no place like this place that I know of.
The sneaker store could stand alone. The gym could stand alone. Both, in and of themselves, would be newsworthy. But they’re together under one roof in a space that exudes energy, athleticism, strength, and speed.
The best for the best is really the best for all! I want to see you folks do extraordinary things! Can’t wait to be back!
